| Título: | Mulher e cidadania - perspectiva para o próximo século: uma reflexão na realidade metropolitana de São Paulo |

| Resumo: | A idéia central deste trabalho é um estudo sobre as mulheres, agora na maturidade, que serão idosas daqui há duas décadas, com o objetivo de refletir sobre esse processo em curso, especialmente relativo ao exercício da cidadania, do qual depende a menor ou maior facilidade que terão em enfrentar os problemas que certamente se apresentarão na velhice. Para entendermos a condição da mulher na sociedade brasileira tivemos como referência básica o conceito de relações sociais de produção e reprodução e, de como isto se realiza nas relações sociais de gênero e de classes sociais. Estudamos a participação das mulheres brasileiras desde as primeiras décadas deste século, para poder apreender o contexto em que as mulheres, objeto do estudo, tinham sofrido influencias determinantes que caracterizam sua geração, em relação a maneiras de ver a vida e de exercer a cidadania. Buscamos também descobrir caminhos para a ação do Serviço Social frente à problemática levantada: aumento percentual da população idosa, com predomínio feminino, levando em conta a grande probabilidade das mulheres ficarem só na velhice. Tivemos como referência o ano 2010, época em que as mulheres pesquisadas estarão entrando na velhice. Apresentamos então o Serviço Social trabalhando com a questão da cidadania, no sentido de efetivamente tornar essas mulheres sujeitos de suas vidas com a participação ativa em seus sujeitos coletivos. Realizamos esse trabalho reafirmando nossa crença na criatividade humana que, fundamentada em princípios, encontrará soluções para resolver os problemas dos desiguais, sem sujeição, com a participão de homens e mulheres |
| Abstract: | The principal idea of this doctorate thesis, falls on a study about women who are nowadays in their mature lives and who will be elder within two decades, and it has lhe purpose to reflect on this current process specially related to the exercise in citizenhood, of which depends the minor or the major facility that they wou/d have to face the problems that certain/y will be presented in their ageing. To understand better the woman's condition in the braziJian society, we have gol as a basic reference, the concept of social relationships of production and reproduction and how this comes to appear to take place into the social relationships, according to their gender and their social categories. We have studied the participation of brazilian women in the society since the first decades of this century, to reach the learning of the context on which women, as the object of this study, have suffered such determinant influences that characterize their generation, according to their style of beholding their lives and exercising their citizenhood. We have also searched to find out other ways for the Social Service actjon towards to the upright problem: the increasing percentage of elders, with a female predominance, considering the great probability of loniless among women in their ageing time. We have as a reference the year of 2010, the epoch when these researched women will then be starting in their elderliness. Thus, we present the Social Service working together with the citizenhood question, with the purpose of an effective change of those women tuming themselves into the subject of their own lives, with the active participation within their collective subjects. We have carried out this reasearch reasserting our belief on the human creativity, which is established in principles, that will find out the right solutions to resolve the problems of the unequal ones, without their submission, with the partnership of men and women |
